Nuwara Eliya

At 1,900 metres above sea level, Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka's "Little England" — a cool-climate hill station of Tudor-style cottages, manicured lawns and endless emerald tea carpets. Mornings smell of eucalyptus and fresh-rolled tea; evenings call for a fireside gin at a colonial grand hotel.
